Basic rules for cleaning dishwasher
If you purchased a dishwasher and decided that it does not need any care (e.g., it will clean and wash itself), then you are seriously mistaken. The point is that appliances are gradually becoming dirty, and eventually you will have to clean the accumulated dirt. Otherwise, the working chamber will accumulate unpleasant smell and bacteria.
Let us look at the basic rules of cleaning:
● The dishwasher should be periodically ventilated — the moisture accumulating in it accelerates decomposition of the remaining organic waste and leads to the appearance of unpleasant odor;
● Wipe the inside of the dishwasher (DW) and the dishwasher baskets regularly;
● Remember that it is better to clean dishwasher baskets manually — this way you may remove more dirt;
● After machine washing using special detergents for the DW, do not forget to wipe all nodes and surfaces with a dry towel or a clean cloth;
● Do not leave food leftovers on kitchen utensils — remove them before loading;
● Regularly remove dirt from hard-to- reach places, where the detergent cannot reach it;
● Use high-quality salt as well as high-quality rinsers;
● Remember that the rubber seals on the dishwasher door must be clean — if there is dirt on them, clean the seals;
● Remove fatty dirt in time, — it has the ability to penetrate into the metal, causing the appearance of fatty film, which is hard to wash away.
Proper use of the dishwasher will definitely extend its lifespan and make kitchen utensils cleaner. Remember that if you clean the dishwasher once or twice a month, you will not have to use fragrances — there will no unpleasant odors in the DW.
We now want to tell you how to clean the dishwasher at home — for this purpose, use consumer detergents. For example, you can use a special cleaner. Take the bottle with the cleaner, remove the protective film and place the bottle upside down in the uppermost basket. Then run the program at +60 degrees (without dishes). Once the cycle is complete, the dishwasher will be perfectly clean.
However, even after such cleaning, it is recommended to clean the inside of the dishwasher manually — if dirt is left anywhere, it can be removed manually, as it after the application of the cleaner, dirt gets soaked and very soft.
